Under this theme, E4I Africa spearheads Africa’s research and advocacy efforts to provide insights on popular political issues and examine policy-led solutions to emerging societal trends. Our strategy stems from our philosophy of ensuring evidence is generated and successful and most cost-effective practices are identified and utilized to inform countries and institutions’ policy and program strategies and investment agenda. Using our adaptive learning management approach, we seek to foster understanding by utilizing research to inform policy-making, build advocacy and identify strategies for promoting policy dialogue. Our strategies are bottom-up and rooted in consultative and informal engagements to assist local policy actors in sharing insights to stimulate a shift from authoritarianism and effectively translate research to measurable and timely actions for sustainable development and progressive governance. We utilize holistic, collaborative and demand-driven approaches to map the most pressing policy issues across the sectors of expertise, design policy analysis strategies and build institutions’ capacity to communicate emerging evidence to diverse policy audiences, thus ensuring buy-in and implementation. Our primary goal is to foster policy development by using evidence, thus ensuring equitable access to quality basic education, life-long learning education and training, entry and participation in the labor market, and access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
